Science Week was once again a big hit in Scoil Angela. Here are some highlights from the budding young scientists in our school.
Junior Infants investigated what the best coin cleaner was and were shocked to discover it was ketchup! They also discovered how to make a gummy bear grow, create a skittle rainbow, whether or not an orange will float with its skin on or off and finally how to change white flowers into beautiful colourful ones!
1st Class learned how to make very tasty butter, recorded the daily temperature inside and outside for the week, constructed boats to bear the weight of coins, investigated different effects on bread, whether or not oil will mix with water and like Junior Infants discovered that an orange will float with its skin on and that it will sink with its skin off!
5th class engaged in the egg drop challenge and were amazed with the results of their experiment!
